The Opportunity

 

The Procurement Officer’s role is to oversee the operations of the Procurement (including Travel) functions to provide efficient and streamlined services for the Forum Secretariat. The key responsibilities are summarised as:

 

  • Procurement Management and Compliance
  • Coordinating all Procurement and Contracting Processes
  • Travel and Logistics Planning and oversight
  • Continuous Improvement of PIFS Procurement
  • Purchasing Management

 

Applicants should have a degree in Management, Business Studies or similar from a recognised tertiary institution with at least five years previous experience in contracting and procurement and corporate travel & logistics coordination roles (at least 3years at senior officer level).

 

Applicants with sound knowledge and experience in vendor contract negotiations and management and demonstrate a sound understanding of related laws (procurement & purchasing) and best practices on vendor management, procurement & tender processing.  Has solid experience in managing and working with a team of professional staff

 

The Benefits

 

The position carries a competitive and attractive remuneration and benefits package including medical and life insurance, education, and housing allowance. The position is placed at Band 9 / Officer level of our salary scale, starting at SDR 28,750 equivalent to FJD 87,450.

 

Note: Amounts are based on 1 August foreign exchange rates, but the final salary will be dependent on foreign exchange rates at the time of payment.
